Rebel Plants (Herbes Rebelles) is a series that initiate the transformation of monotypes imprint of plants into abstraction.

Grasses and other herbaceous plants gathered on the edges of paths and in forests provide the basic materials. Payne’s gray is the dominante color of this series along with some additional touch of sepia and Carmin.

The printing plate is reused several times with additional inking and drawings which create an intriguing complexity from successive compositions.
